==History==
After the Fenton family lived in the mansion, it was vacant for many years before veteran's associations began to occupy the building. During World War II, it was a recruitment center. It was also home to a chapter of the Grand Army of the Republic until the last Civil War veteran died. In 1964, the Fenton History Center was established as a museum. In 2013, the adjacent Hall House was purchased to use as a research library.
